NOTICE: Effective August 1, 2008 the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing (DRL) requires Wisconsin real estate license applicants as well as those renewing their license to declare “whether they are a citizen or national of the United States or a qualified alien or nonimmigrant lawfully present in the United States who is eligible to receive a license or credential as defined in the federal law”.
This requirement applies not only to real estate brokers and salespersons, but also to appraisers, home inspectors and all others receiving a license or credential from the DRL. Direct all questions to the DRL at (608) 266-2112 or http://drl.wi.gov/index.htm.
