Don't take it from us, hear what REALTORS say!
What prompted you to attend Designation Week last year?
GRI 3...... "Tom Lundstedt is one of the best instructors in the Real Estate business! " I would recommend him to anyone. We only had him for 2 days, but what he taught us was worth every penny I spent on the course. Excellent speaker, I would take more of his seminars."
Jeff Thomas, Potterton-Rule Inc
I decided to go for my GRI-2. I had GRI-1 under my belt, so the next likely step would be 2. Wow!!! The content was far more than I ever could have imagined. I couldn't take notes fast enough! I wanted to take LeRoy and Gee and put them in my back pocket ---- this training really helps to stimulate the noggin into doing this business efficiently, confidently, and most of all successfully!

During this slower period of Real Estate it is a wonderful opportunity to better educate yourself and make the commitment to become more successful.
Linda Johnson, First Weber
Love the education and with real estate being a bit slower it was perfect to spend more time being educated that hoping for the phone to ring.

What sales success did you have as a result of attending
I was able to connect with some fabulous people from other parts of the state and have utilized this networking opportunity to refer and be referred. It's always good to have some business cards in your Rolodex from other areas of the state when you're talking to a potential client that is thinking of moving, oh, say ... to Marinette County.... But mainly, my own professional growth was the best result - In a market that's fizzling, I was able to double my production last year! And that's not all - I was recently awarded as one of Milwaukee Magazine's "5-STAR, Best in Client Satisfaction Realtor for 2009" based on past client satisfaction surveys conducted. They say that only 7% of the entire Milwaukee Metro area makes it. I'm thrilled and my enthusiasm has doubled as well.

The designation allows me to benefit the seller in a way they could easily relate to. It is a great listing tool that allows me help the seller make their home look its best and hopefully sell with the best price.
Linda Johnson, First Weber
Sales success is always. I believe because I use the classes as motivation it keeps me on track when times seem to be slower. I have been in the industry 10 years and have always put my money and time into bettering my career. I actually have the classes to be an Crs agent and have not taken the time to send it in.

I have over 70 listings compared to 20-30 last year at this time. I have been doing real estate for 5 years and 2008 has been my best gross commission year. I learned many new listing and marketing tips. I have been using my advertising as a listing and marketing tool. Self promotion ideas were great! I used them and it shows in my listing count. I used the mailing ideas for listings and got 10 listings off of them. I am still getting calls of them.

It has helped w/all listing appointments, which I know have helped get the listings sold.

Why would you recommend Designation Week to others?
I call it "me" time. You can't take care of business unless you take care of yourself. Invest in yourself and it will pay off. Don't let yourself become stale in this profession - if things are slow... take this time to "make lemonade". When this market comes back - and it will - you'll be better suited for it and then "look out" - your business will explode!
Mary Piekarski, First Weber
By obtaining a designation it shows your true commitment to the profession and shows that you want to continue to learn. It is a great venue to meet other Realtors and a great networking locale.
Linda Johnson, First Weber
MOTIVATION in this time. Added bonus.....are skills improve.

Great way to learn new skills and motivated you to use them in a tough market. Realtors need to stop focusing on the gloom and doom and make things happen. If you don’t show up to work you do not get any business.
Jackie Leonhard, Century 21
Great kick start to new year; opportunity to network; it opens your eyes to new ideas
