Wisconsin Reciprocity Pre-License
All salesperson applicants holding active
sales licenses in another state other than Illinois or Indiana
for the last two (2) years may take a reduced-length approved
program before they take the state exam. The state exam is
administered by Promissor. A copy of their out-of-state license
must be submitted with the Wisconsin license application.
A Broker licensed in another state other than
Illinois or Indiana and applying for a Wisconsin reciprocal
broker license must have satisfied the salesperson education and
examination requirements or be licensed as a salesperson in
Wisconsin. If they have met these requirements, they need only
complete the broker three (3) hour education course and the
broker exam. Those without the requisite sales person license
need to complete the 13-hour salesperson course. The Broker exam
is administrated by Promissor. A copy of their out-of-state
broker’s license must be submitted with the Wisconsin license
application.
Notice: The
state-approved listing contract (WB-1) and buyer agency/tenant
representation agreement (WB-36) are changing. The forms will have
an optional use date of January 1, 2008 and mandatory use date of
July 1, 2008. Consequently, we strongly encourage you to complete
the course and take the license exam by July 1, 2008. As of July
1, 2008 the license exam will include test questions on the
revised 2008 WB-1 and 2008 WB-36. If you do not complete the
course prior to July 1, 2008, you will have to take specific steps
to receive the revised information. You have one year from the
date of purchase to complete the course.
