Act Seeks to Improve Regulatory Environment for Real
Estate Industry
Is a Wisconsin Economy Stimulant on the Horizon?
MADISON, WI – To help stimulate Wisconsin's economy and
improve the regulatory environment for businesses, Governor
Jim Doyle and the Wisconsin Legislature have been actively
negotiating a comprehensive package of regulatory reform
initiatives that seek to promote economic development, housing

environmental standards. (01/12/2004) [Full

WRA Launches Comprehensive Ad Campaign On Shoreland Zoning
Changes
In an effort to solicit public input on the proposed
changes to the state's shoreland zoning regulations, the WRA
and the Wisconsin Builders Association have engaged in an
extensive statewide, newspaper-ad campaign. The ads have been
targeted in the areas surrounding the 8 communities where the
public listening sessions are to be held (Spooner, Lake
Tomahawk, Eau Claire, Onalaska, Grand Chute, Crivitz, Madison,
and Waukesha). The ads are intended to inform people that the
hearings are taking place, give some examples of some of the
options being proposed, and encourage people to attend.
Because public listening sessions are one of the first steps
in the rulemaking process and no formal draft of the rule has
been prepared, public input at this point is extremely
important. (11/26/2003) [Full
