Federal LBP Pre-Renovations Disclosure Rule (Contractors, Remodeling, etc.)
Certified personnel are not mandated for interim control activities, renovation, remodeling, landscaping, or other activities that are designed solely to repair, restore or remodel a structure or dwelling, and not intended for permanent LBP hazard elimination. Also any other general operations and maintenance activities designed to temporarily reduce LBP hazards will also not require certified personnel. Persons engaging in these activities, however, may be required to comply with the federal LBP Renovations.
For information about the federal LBP Pre-Renovations Disclosure Rule, see pages 6-7 of Legal Update 99.08 and 00.04 , or visit www.epa.gov.
