WRA Welcomes New Chairman John Horning

MADISON, WI – The Wisconsin REALTORS® Association (WRA) is pleased to announce the installation of its new chairman, John Horning, on September 27, 2010 at its annual convention in the Wisconsin Dells. Succeeding immediate past Chairman John Flor of Six Lakes Realty in Chetek, Horning assumes responsibility for the 2010-2011 fiscal year, which began October 1, 2010.
Horning is a third-generation family member to operate Shorewest, REALTORS® based in Brookfield, Wisconsin. He joined Shorewest, REALTORS® full time in January 1993 as accounting manager. In 1996, he served as director of corporate operations and in December of 2002, he was appointed executive vice president.
Horning is a past director of the Greater Milwaukee Association of REALTORS®, and has served on the WRA’s Board of Directors since 2002 and is a member of the WRA’s Executive Committee. John currently serves on the Political Strategy Group and on the Wisconsin Homeowners Alliance Board of Directors. He also coordinates community participation for the company in volunteer activities, blood drives, United Way, United Performing Arts Fund, and Casual Day fundraisers.
