Wisconsin Real Estate Sales License Information
Wisconsin real estate licenses for salespersons are issued by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS). Steps for receiving your license are:
- Complete required real estate pre-license education.
- Pass the state exam.
- Submit application to the DSPS, including proof of completed education or credentials. Such proof is available in myEducation history after successfully completing the WRA’s sales Pre-license course.
During each two-year licensing period, the DSPS requires all sales licensees to complete continuing education courses to renew your license.
If you want to obtain a Wisconsin Real Estate License and do not live in the state, please see the Out-of-State Licensees section.
