Walter
"Corky" Hellyer, CRB, CRS, GRI Fish Creek, WI
 Walter "Corky" Hellyer began his real estate career in
1983. Celebrating 20 years in the business, "Corky" now serves as
WRA's 2003-2004 Chairman of the Board. Formerly the President and
Chairman of the
Board of The International Sleep Products Association and
President and CEO of Namaco Industries based in Huntington, West
Virginia, Corky spent 28 years in the Sleep Products Industry
before pursuing
real estate.
Corky launched his real estate career with the Gilster
Company in Fish Creek, Wisconsin. In 1986, the Gilster Company was
acquired by Vacation Properties Network. In 1990, "Corky"
purchased the company from Vacation Properties Network and renamed
it to Door County Realty, Incorporated. In 2003, Corky started
another real estate firm named Properties of Door County, LLC.
Celebrating other achievements, Corky was named State
REALTORŪ of the Year from 1990-1991. Additionally, he has been an
active member of the Door County Board of REALTORSŪ, serving as
President, Director, and Chairman on a number of committees. He
has been an RPAC Trustee for nearly 20 years and was named Chair
from 1991-1992.
