As a REALTOR® you will need education, both to renew your
license and advance your career professionally. The WRA
offers education discounts to all WRA members. From
continuing education to designation courses, the WRA
offers a wide range of educational opportunities.
As a new REALTOR®, the first thing you’ll do is enroll
in one of the best preparatory classes in the industry, QuickStart.
As the name implies, the class is designed to teach new
salespeople the quickest and most efficient methods for
establishing a new real estate career.
As your career progresses, you may want to take various
courses which allow you to earn prestigious designations. Earning
designations will tell your potential clients that you
have been trained in a particular area of the business.
For instance, we offer Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI),
Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), and Buyer Agency (ABR)
designations — each bringing the promise of increased
success to you.
Statistics show that the more designations you have, the
more money you can earn. Perhaps your goal is to become a
broker. The WRA’s broker pre-license class will help you
earn your broker’s license by teaching you everything
you need to know about the business. Choose the course
format that fits your lifestyle – classroom, video or
online.
The WRA also offers Continuing Education (CE). You
are required by the state of Wisconsin to complete 12
hours of continuing education each biennium, or every two
years, to maintain your real estate license. Our classroom
courses are held at a variety of times and locations
around the state.
We also offer online and DVD self-study courses for
the ultimate in convenience. Our latest product, Distance
Learning on Demand (DLOD), allows you to complete all
of your continuing education on your schedule in your
office or at home using a Web browser and a broadband
connection.
Once a year, WRA members gather for the annual convention.
The annual convention assembles top-name speakers from
around the globe to discuss important topics in the
industry. Not only does this event offer top-notch
education, but it’s fun too! We kick off each convention
with an Icebreaker reception and offer a wonderful
selection of food and entertainment.
Take a walk through the exhibit hall and check out the new
products and services that can enhance your bottom line.
Locations vary each year, allowing allowing you to
experience something new each time you attend.
Products
The WRA Products Department offers a variety of
solutions to assist you in your business. The WRA Store
carries all of the real estate transaction forms you will
ever need. Ordering them is easy, and the prices can’t
be beat. If you have a question about a form, the Products
Department staff is available to help you find what you
need.
The WRA Products Department also offers real estate books,
videos, ZipForm (a form-filling software program) and
other materials. The books feature the nation’s most
renowned real estate authors and subjects. Reference
materials, such as the Wisconsin Real Estate Law Manual,
are invaluable to your business. We also carry consumer
brochures that cover disclosure issues such as lead-based
paint, agency law, buyer agency, underground storage tanks
and Mortgage Lending.
