Wisconsin REALTORS® Association Surpasses 600 Unit Milestone
on Popular New Distance Learning Product
New Industry Standard Makes
Real Estate Continuing Education Affordable, Convenient and
Accessible from Anywhere Over the Internet.
Date:
November 9, 2006
MADISON, WI – Recognizing the broad growth of the
Internet and increasing demand for more convenient ways to
deliver Continuing Education (CE) to real estate
professionals, the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association (WRA) has
today announced surpassing a 600 unit milestone of its popular
new Distance Learning On Demand product. Released in September
2006 as a “first" distance learning product for the real estate industry, the
WRA has gained widespread traction of its new product.
According to the WRA, students can now take
continuing education anytime – from anywhere over the Internet at their own pace
simply using a Web broswer. Starting for as low as $24
per course (or $96 for four required courses), students
looking to eliminate travel and sales downtime will
benefit from this technology.
Debuting at WRA’s annual state convention in September, Distance
Learning On Demand surpassed its 600 unit milestone in less than 30 days. “As a testament to its popularity, we’re
not only seeing our own traction, but other competitors entering the market
quickly,”
says Rob Uhrina, VP of Marketing and Communications who lead the
Product Development Team at the WRA. “As they say, the proof is
in the pudding. When we began development, we knew the WRA has
long been an industry standard in education so we engineered our
own customized solution, tailored with direct feedback from
REALTORS®.”
Requiring a web browser and broadband connection,
Distance Learning On Demand is designed for ease
of use. Students simply watch coursework online, take an exam and upon successful completion, receive a passing
score and a certificate of completion. Students will also
benefit from a note-taking
tool, full video indexing, and quizzes
to prepare for the final exam.
For WRA members, the product is fully integrated with the WRA's
statewide member database, allowing students to track course completion, exam status and progress towards completing state-mandated continuing education. Members can also track education history and courses attended through the
WRA.
