Madison - The Wisconsin REALTORS
Association (WRA) has endorsed Washington County Circuit Court
Judge Annette Ziegler for the State Supreme Court. The
Realtors cited Ziegler's experience as a sitting judge, former
criminal prosecutor and as a private practice attorney, as
reasons for their support.
"Judge Ziegler has the strongest judicial
and legal experience in this race," said Roger Rushman,
Chairman of the Board for the WRA. "That's why we believe she
has the best credentials to sit on the state's highest court."
Rushman also cited Judge Ziegler's judicial
temperament and philosophy as reasons for the Realtors
support. "We believe Judge Ziegler has demonstrated she will
apply the laws as written by the legislature in a fair and
impartial manner, based only on the facts of each case,"
Rushman added. "This makes her an ideal candidate for the
Court."
Judge Ziegler has served as a circuit court
judge Washington County for the past 10 years. Prior to
serving on the bench, Judge Ziegler was an Assistant United
States Attorney and Special Assistant District Attorney. In
private practice she represented many business clients and was
involved in numerous real estate-related cases. She is a
graduate of Marquette University law school and lives in West
Bend with her husband and three children.
Rushman said many cases that come before the
Court involve issues that impact the right to transfer, use and
enjoy real property in Wisconsin. "This election is important
for homeowners, property owners and Realtors because the Court,
through its decisions, helps to define the rights of all
property owners in Wisconsin," said Rushman. "We will be
encouraging Realtors and all homeowners and property owners to
vote in the primary election on February 20 and the general
election on April 3." |
