MADISON - In front of nearly 400 cheering members, Governor Jim Doyle presented a state certificate of commendation to the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association (WRA) in recognition of the organization’s 100th anniversary. The WRA has remained intensely committed to “helping Wisconsin families realize the American Dream of homeownership, the protection of private and public property rights, the growth and prosperity of our communities and businesses, and the protection and promotion of Wisconsin’s unique quality of life,” the certificate reads. In accepting the certificate on behalf of the WRA, Chairman of the Board Michael Mulleady of Minocqua said, “We are grateful to Governor Doyle for this honor and grateful for the thousands of REALTORS® who have over these many years, helped hundreds of thousands of Wisconsin families realize the American Dream.” WRA President Bill Malkasian pointed out that the fundamental goals of the organization have remained consistent for the past century, including establishing and enforcing a strong code of ethics, insuring fair and meaningful state laws and regulations, and providing exceptional education and services to its members. “We focus on these goals year in and year out, so our members can provide outstanding service to their customers and clients,” said Malkasian, who has been with the organization for more than 30 years. “With the kind of complex and challenging markets we have today, the quality service of a professional REALTOR® is more important than ever in realizing a successful transaction,” Malkasian said.
