Broker Price Opinion Resource (BPOR) Certification
The current housing market presents many challenges to our real estate industry, few more important than valuation. Broker Price Opinions (BPOs) have been widely adopted as a valuation tool in the mortgage industry and - increasingly - for government programs intended to aid the economy and help homeowners avoid foreclosure. For brokers and agents, BPOs provide multiple professional and financial opportunities for growth and expansion. Evaluating properties depends more than ever on professional expertise and competence. The Broker Price Opinion Resource (BPOR) certification provides REALTORS® with knowledge and skills to reduce risk, increase opportunities and create professional BPOs.
At the conclusion of the required one-day course to receive this certification, “BPOs: The Agent’s Role in the Valuation Process," you will be able to:
- Prepare accurate and professional BPOs
- Evaluate market valuation tools for the most productive preparation of BPOs
- Identify and weigh all significant factors influencing the creation of a useful valuation
Those who complete the course will need to take a free webinar and pay a one-time fee to earn the BPOR certification. For additional information, visit www.bpor.org.
And completion of the BPOR certification course meets the elective course requirement for the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council’s ABR® designation.
