The highest designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field, the CRS designation recognizes professional accomplishments in both experience and education.

The Short Sales and Foreclosures course provides practical approaches to the pre-foreclosure and foreclosure processes that will result in the successful disposition of these properties. The course explains the intricacies of the short sale and foreclosure processes as well as the roles of lenders, sellers, buyers and cooperating agents involved. Dialogues and systems for working with financial institutions and other owners of REO properties are also provided.

Course topics
After attending this course, you'll be able to:

  • Give competent advice and counsel to homeowners who are in danger of losing their home through foreclosure.
  • Negotiate successfully with financial institutions and other owners of REO properties.
  • Sell and list REO and short sale properties.
  • Help clients maintain possession of their homes by creating “short sales” on qualified properties that will lead to the successful sale of those properties.

  • Date/time: October 4 (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
  • Location: Live in Milwaukee at the 2021 WRA Annual Convention. This course is also available in a livestreamed format. 
  • Course fee: $125 course only, or add on a pass to the WRA 2021 convention
  • Instructor: Dale Carlton
  • Credits: This course qualifies for eight CRS credits and one GRI live elective credit. Submitted for six credits of 2021-22 CE in lieu of courses 5 and 6. This course also meets the core course requirement for REBAC's SFR (Short Sales & Foreclosure Resource) certification. For more information please visit: SFR certification

  • RRC member discount: If you are an Residential Real Estate Council (RRC) member, you qualify for a $20 course discount.
