WRA Welcomes New 2018-19 Chairman of the Board

MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin REALTORS® Association (WRA) installed Jean Stefaniak of Wauwatosa as its new chairman of the board at its annual convention held in Wisconsin Dells last month. Stefaniak will head one of Wisconsin’s largest trade associations, representing over 16,500 real estate brokers, salespeople and affiliates statewide. She succeeds the WRA’s 2017-18 chairman, Peter Sveum of Stoughton.

Stefaniak is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, receiving her bachelor’s degree in 1995. She has been a full-time residential real estate broker in the Milwaukee metro area since receiving her real estate license in 1995. Jean is a partner of The Stefaniak Group LLC based in Milwaukee with over $91 million in closed transactions to her name. 

Stefaniak is a member of the Greater Milwaukee Association of REALTORS® (GMAR), the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association (WRA) and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). Stefaniak is particularly active in her local and state real estate trade associations. At the state level with the WRA, Stefaniak has served for a number of years on the WRA board of directors and the executive committee before assuming the role of chairman this year. At the local level with GMAR, Stefaniak is a member of GMAR’s professional standards committee on ethics and has also consistently ranked in the top 10 percent of all real estate agents in GMAR. Additionally, Stefaniak sits on the board of directors for the Metro Multiple Listing Service.
