The WRF Raised More than $15,000 for Wisconsin Children in Need

In response to the significant increase in demand due to COVID-19, the Wisconsin REALTORS¬ģ Foundation (WRF) ran a two-month campaign throughout May to mid-June to help raise money for Feeding Wisconsin and its network of statewide food banks to distribute emergency food boxes to those in need.¬†

Each $12 donation provided a 10-pound box of food that contained protein items like canned tuna and beans, canned fruits and vegetables, carbohydrate items like pasta and rice, and ready-to-eat meals. Additional items may include cereal, pancake/muffin mix, pasta sauce and snacks.

Overall, the campaign raised more than $15,000! The campaign comprised of two different efforts, including the goal during the month of May to raise $10,000 to help with the emergency food boxes as well as the $1,000 goal during the Team Up Against Hunger week of June 15-19, also known as ‚ÄúJunesgiving.‚ÄĚ Traditionally designed to encourage volunteering at local food banks and pantries, Junesgiving was modified this year due to COVID-19 and efforts to maintain social distancing.¬†

The combined efforts raised $12,341 in May and $4,961 in June.
