Last month, the forms council at the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) decided on a new direction for the representation forms used in Wisconsin real estate practice.
Forms changes at a glance
- The existing WB-36 Buyer Agency/Tenant Representation Agreement will be split in two to create a revised version of the WB-36 as well as a new WB-39 Tenant Representation Agreement.
- The optional use date for both forms will be July 1, 2023.
- The mandatory use date will be September 1, 2023.
In addition, a new wire fraud warning for use in WB forms is currently in the works. Watch for the new wire fraud warning in the WB-36, in the new WB-39, and in a host of other WB forms in the future.
As always, the WRA will keep you updated about these developments that affect your practice.
