New Law Protects the Value of Waterfront Property in Wisconsin

2011 WI Act 167 is a big victory for waterfront property owners in Wisconsin. This new law:

Eliminates the DNR pier registration requirement.
Guarantees all riparian owners have a right to place a pier.
Allows unlimited maintenance for nonconforming wet boathouses.
