The ABR two-day core course provides you the tools and know-how to represent buyer-clients in real estate transactions and provide them the same level of service that sellers typically enjoy. This course also offers ideas and methods for building a buyer-representation business, forming buyer relationships, winning repeat business and referrals, and more.

This course explores these topics and more:

  • Agency relationships: Creating an agency relationship, parties in the transaction, FSBO properties, buyer representation issues and more.
  • Building a buyer representation business: Presenting homebuyer seminars, creating a newsletter, developing a presentation package, developing a personal marketing plan, finding qualified buyers and more.
  • Buyer counseling: Building rapport with buyers, discussing financing with buyers, obtaining commitment, providing client-level services and determining which types of buyers you should avoid.
  • Buyer service: Property selection, viewing properties, working with FSBOs, loan programs and fair housing.
  • Client and customer relationships: Fiduciary duties, reasonable care and diligence, recognizing conflicts, and penalties for breach of fiduciary duties.
  • Offers and negotiation: Protecting the buyer's interests, working toward the purchase contract, planning a negotiation strategy, handling multiple offers and more.
