How can I take the broker course?
The WRA offers the broker pre-license course on the WRA On Demand online training platform. You have access to your course for six months.
How do I get a broker real estate license?
You're required to meet the sales license requirements, complete broker training and pass the broker exam to earn a Wisconsin real estate broker license.
What is the broker exam like?
Approved by Wisconsin real estate professionals, the broker exam consists of 100 questions covering laws, regulations and practices of real estate in Wisconsin. This computer-based exam has no limit for the number of times you may take the exam, however you are required to pay the exam fee each time.
How do I know if I passed the broker exam?
At the conclusion of the test, you’ll be notified whether you passed or failed. Upon passing, submit your application to the DSPS. The application can be submitted online through the DSPS LicensE portal, including proof of completed education and salesperson practice experience requirements.
How do I register for the broker exam?
Broker licensing exams are $65 and are conducted by Pearson VUE Examination Services. Testing center locations are subject to change. The candidate handbook provides additional information about exam preparation.
If I'm a broker, do I still have to take the required continuing education?
The DSPS requires all real estate licensees to complete 18 hours of continuing education (CE) every two years to maintain their license. However, individuals who earn the Wisconsin salesperson license after October 1 of an even year are not required to complete CE for that biennium.
