Wisconsin Pre-license (Out-of-State Licensee)

Sales license requirements

All salesperson applicants holding active sales licenses in another state within the last two years are required to take the 13 hours of sales education before taking the state exam. The course is approved by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. The state exam is administered by Pearson VUE. A copy of your out-of-state license must be submitted with the Wisconsin license application.

Broker license requirements

All broker applicants who have held a broker license in another state for at least two years with the last four years are required to take the 13 hours of sales education and 6 hours of broker education before taking both state exams. The course is approved by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. The broker exam is administered by Pearson VUE. A copy of your out-of-state broker license must be submitted with the Wisconsin license application.

  • Students have six months from the date of registration to complete all courses, after which time re-registration is required.
