Nearly 500 REALTORS® came together in Madison last month for three days of education, networking and fun at the 2026 WRA Annual Convention.
The convention kicked off Tuesday with CE courses, the annual golf outing and the exciting Wingo competition. That evening, REALTORS® gathered for “The Gilded Gathering,” celebrating the REALTOR® community and welcoming Shawna Alt as the 2027 WRA chair of the board, along with the new 2027 leadership team.
Wednesday morning opened on the main stage with WRA awards recognizing outstanding contributions to the REALTOR® profession, followed by keynote speaker Mike Staver. Through humor and practical strategies, Staver’s “Winning Is No Accident” session challenged us to stay focused, resilient and purpose-driven in a rapidly changing world.
Throughout the day, convention guests attended workshops to learn new ideas for listing strategies, video content, social media marketing and more. The afternoon brought another main stage session with real estate speaker and coach Jared James, who explored how changing consumer expectations and artificial intelligence are reshaping the industry.
The excitement continued at the evening’s exhibit hall reception and REALTOR® Party reception before The Power of YOU Party. With live music from The Verzatile Band, dancing and plenty of opportunities to connect, the convention’s biggest celebration brought the day to a lively close!
Thursday morning featured the WRA legal team’s “Livin’ La Vida Legal” main stage session to outline legal developments and practice changes affecting Wisconsin real estate in 2027. Next, speaker and guitarist Mike Rayburn closed the convention on the main stage with “What If?” — an entertaining mix of music, humor and business insight challenging attendees to rethink conventional thinking and embrace new possibilities.
From the golf course to the main stage and everywhere in between, the 2026 WRA Annual Convention was three days of learning, leadership and meaningful connection — all with an eye toward what’s next.
