The WHA Launches Statewide Question 1 Campaign
What Wisconsin voters need to know before November 3
WRA Advocacy Team
With Election Day approaching, the Wisconsin Homeowners Alliance (WHA) has launched a statewide Vote Yes on Question 1 campaign focused on Wisconsin's partial veto power and its potential impact on taxpayers.
Question 1, appearing on the November 3 ballot, asks voters whether the Wisconsin Constitution should be amended to prohibit a governor from using the partial veto to create or increase taxes or fees.
The question follows a 2023 partial veto that extended a two-year school funding increase into an increase lasting more than 400 years. The proposed amendment would not undo that veto but would establish limits on how future governors can exercise this authority.
Through digital advertising, social media, direct mail and video, the WHA is sharing information about Question 1 with homeowners and voters across Wisconsin.
Founded by the WRA in 2005, WHA is a nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy organization focused on protecting property rights, promoting affordability, and improving Wisconsin's property-owning climate.
