As we move past the halfway point of 2026, I am proud of the work being accomplished by REALTORS® across Wisconsin and by your WRA board of directors and executive team. We have been diligently preparing forms and training to implement the January 1 practice changes related to the new Wisconsin Act 69, advocating for homeownership and private property rights, and representing Wisconsin REALTORS® in Washington, D.C., where our bipartisan “21st Century Road to Housing” legislation successfully passed both the U.S. House and Senate.
As our nation recently celebrated its 250th birthday, I found myself reflecting on the preamble of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics and its powerful reminder that “under all is the land.” Those words continue to emphasize the responsibility we have as REALTORS® to support homeownership, strengthen communities, and serve the public with professionalism and integrity. It is both a privilege and a responsibility to work in a profession that helps people achieve the American dream.
As we look ahead to the second half of the year, I hope you will join us at the 2026 WRA Annual Convention in Madison this September. With a new venue at the Monona Terrace, along with outstanding speakers, valuable training programs and opportunities to connect with colleagues from across the state, it promises to be an exceptional event.
